Tours Worth Taking

Garifuna Tours- Tele, Honduras

Picture
We recently spent a week in Honduras and took a couple of tours one of the tours we took from Tele I highly recommend. We spent the day visiting Jeannette Kawas National Park (also known as Punta Sal) . This peninsula is only accessible by water, so the tour begins with a 45-minute boat ride through beautiful blue waters. The captain of the boat had 25 years’ experience and he skillfully navigated us though waves which at times were 8-10 feet.
Once the protected area is reached, we spent about an hour hiking to the other side to a beautiful bay area. Howler monkeys screeched and spider monkeys swung above us. The forest was hot, humid and beautiful. Our guide switched between perfect English and Spanish and did an excellent job. After an exhilarating hike we headed back to the boat for a short ride to a small, secluded beach. The ride to the beach included stunning sights of water and rocks as well as dolphins playing by the boat.
At the beach we were free to explore, walk, snorkel or just lounge. This is one pf the most beautiful beaches I have seen. The village is small with less than 12 people living here. We opted to buy beers and lunch which was well worth the $12.
If you are in the area near Tele I highly recommend this day trip.

McCombs Tours Ireland

This was not the Giant’s Causeway I experienced …………….

I suspect each and everyone who visits this place has their own experience ; I know that experience is grounded in nature.  What nature has in store for you on the day of your arrival who knows.............

When I arrived and descended to the causeway nature was in full fury. It was as if the heavens were angry at my arrival! They opened up in full force and the winds blew; they blew so hard they almost stopped my decent. The rain dashed down vertically in every effort to halt my steps.

The sights to behold were fleeting because of natures fury yet they remained  beautiful in their sheer fury. The waves dashed and the wind howled. The rain fell but I still was amazed at the astonishing beauty of the causeway………………and I survived to tell the tale :)

This is a great tour if you have the opportunity take it !!!!

I highly recommend the Giant’s Causeway Tour through McCombs Tour operator. I booked this tour on-line through Viator for a mere $26.This tour bus will pick you up from designated hotels and then begin the drive up the scenic coastal road. Our driver was personable and informative. The first stop was at Carrickfergus a large town in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It sits on the north shore of Belfast Lough, 11 miles from Belfast. The castle looms above you as the coach drives up. A brief history is given and time to wander and take photos. Next on the agenda is the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. The scenery alone is stunning. In order to walk the bridge a combo ticket can be purchased for 15 pounds. The bridge will close if winds exceed 30 mph. Thankfully winds blew in excess and I felt no guilt about not traversing the terrifying  bridge. We were given the time to wander the trails and enjoy the stunning sights. Before we headed back on the road we stopped at The Fullerton Arms for a delicious pub lunch. From there on to Bushmills Distillery for a quick 20-minute stop. After an amazing day full of the sights of the northern Irish coastline we arrive at the legendary Giants Causeway. Enjoy!!!
